Astrographics . Art on the Mart . Chicago IL . 2021
Astrographics was a 16 minute long video projection I developed for Art on the Mart. It is composed of four movements – “Earth,” “Other Worlds,” “Stars,” and “Beyond” – and it transports the viewer from the earth to other planets and stars, and even deeper and more speculative realms of the universe.
The show uses data visualizations, images of the universe from telescopes around the globe, as well as works on paper from the Adler collections. It is accompanied by music from the Sun Ra Arkestra archives from the Experimental Sound Studio. A video I capture of the full show is available here.

Planet Nine and Our Planetary Experiment . 150 Media Stream . Chicago IL . 2018
150 Media Stream is a 120 foot long dispay consisting of a series of various sized LED panels. I created two productions for this display. Planet Nine consisted of data visualizations illustrating why astronomers believe there is a large ninth planet far beyone Uranus, and Our Planetary Experiment and dealt with themes of Climate Change. In both cases data visualizations originally designed for the planetarium were adapted to become ‘data art’ for the 150 Media Stream installation.

Midnight Moment . Times Square . NYC . 2014
One of my data visualizations – the red, blue, and green one 😉 – was used in Noah’s Hutton’s film Brain City which was projected on multiple digital billboards in Times Square in November 2014.
